SALT
Fleur de sel, meaning the flower of salt in English, is a premium salt from France. It can only be collected under certain locations, times, and when it is very sunny, dry, and with slow, steady winds. On average, a salt worker can collect 60 tons of salt per year, but only 10-12 tons of Fleur de sel.
The King of Beard uses Fleur de sel from an island named Île de Ré, located in western France. The island has the perfect weather and tidal range that will bring in seawater to the salt marsh basins. The salt formation depends entirely on the weather conditions as they still use age-old techniques so the harvest season usually only lasts from June to October and can only be harvested by hand due to the delicacy of the Fleur de sel.
Fleur de sel is extremely light so it floats on the surface of the water, forming a delicate crust of intricate pyramidal crystals. It has a special scent like violet and a more complex flavor as it is unrefined compared to common salt. Due to the nature of its formation, the production costs are high and the quantity is limited. Hence, Fleur de sel is the most expensive of salts.

BUTTER
Among all the imported butter, those that are approved by AOP(Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée – Protected Designation of Origin), an official European label, are considered the best in quality. Brands that are known as AOP butter are ÉCHIRÉ, Isigny, and Lescure.
AOP label guarantees to the consumer that the various stages of manufacturing have all occurred in the area concerned by the designation and the butter manufacturing only uses the best quality of milk from dairy cattle of age 3-8. Each milk cattle has an ID, enjoys regular massage, periodic health examination, and lives in a monitored environment with attentive care. Grass and water that are fed to them are guaranteed to be clean and unpolluted.
Compared to other butter manufacturing factories that can produce 16 tons of butter per hour, factories with AOP approval can only produce 2 tons of butter per 16 hours. With the peculiar specifications and complicated process, the AOP butter has a lot of characters such as fine texture, smoothness, and the taste of hazelnut. It is famous across Europe and also praised by the Institut International Joël Robuchon.

Our dark rye flour is produced by a century-old French flour manufacturer. The flour factory pays attention to air filtration and uses traditional stone mortar to grind 100% French wheat without destroying the protein-rich grains. It retains the smell of wheat and the taste of rye particles. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and calcium, it is premium flour.
JAPANESE FINE FLOUR
Our Japanese fine flour is manufactured by the water milling method since the Tokugawa period. This traditional method uses the rivers around Mt. Miwa to create power to make the waterwheel run and grind wheat into flour. The wheat extracted is of the best quality, with features such as fine powder, high water absorption, and delicate structure. This is the crucial ingredient that our products have a soft and dense texture and a strong milky fragrance.

BROWN SUGAR
FROM PLANTING THE SUGARCANE
It takes several days to weed farmland. However, we insist on not using any herbicide or pesticide while planting the sugarcane. This is better for our health and eco-friendly to our land.
TO MANUFACTURING THE BROWN SUGAR
Edible lime powder, which is harmless to people, is the only chemical additive that we add in to remove impurities after squashing the sugarcane and boiling the liquid until 90% of the moisture has evaporated. The brown sugar syrup has a scent of sweetness from the firewood and is full of nutrition from the sugarcane.
INSIST ON THE FIREWOOD METHOD
There are only a few that still uses the method of firewood to manufacture brown sugar due to the exhausting process. The people in charge need to continuously bend down and add in or remove wood sticks to the stove, monitor the temperature of the pot, and determine when to stop the heating at the perfect timing. Nevertheless, the brown sugar that is manufactured with firewood has an elegant scent of longan wood, which is precious despite the high cost of manpower and wood sticks.

This kind of Chenopodiaceae crop has been used by aborigines of Taiwan for nearly a century. It is rich in fiber and able to stabilize blood sugar. It contains more polyunsaturated fatty acids than white rice which can protect our cardiovascular system. Also, it contains a lot of essential amino acids(Lysine) for the human body. Quinoa is a popular healthy food.

Vanilla is like the soul of dessert. The King of Beard does not hesitate to cost and embellish the product with vanilla pods from Sava Province, Madagascar. It is the world's largest vanilla pod-producing area. It is cultivated organically and processed by a century-old traditional bourbon-style production process.
A top-quality vanilla pod has many strict conditions. The water content should be between 30%-35%, the vanillin content should be high, the appearance should be undamaged, shiny, and dark brown. It should also be in the length of 15 cm or more, full seeds, with pods, and full maturity.
The aroma is alike caramel and cream. It is broad, strong, and rich. The premium Madagascar bourbon vanilla pods are dense, mellow, charming, and creates a beautiful scent that you can taste.

Sichuan pepper is the first of the thirteen flavors of seasoning. Adding into cooking can increase appetite and promote blood vessel dilation, thereby lowering blood pressure.
The green Sichuan pepper is grey-green in color and is characterized by its obviously long-lasting numbness. While the red Sichuan pepper has a brownish-red or purple-red appearance, which mainly derives oiliness and fragrance. The slight bitterness makes the overall aroma even more distinguished.
The premium green and red Sichuan pepper are roasted and grounded into fine powder. It gives a grassy and minty scent, reflecting the different levels of tingling, bitterness, and astringency. We add it into our AOP butter egg rolls so you can feel the sweetness and touch of numbness in the mouth.

Peanut is a super nutritious nut also known as the immortality nut. One of the variations of peanuts named the "Black King Kong" has the highest nutritional value. Peanut skins are rich in water-soluble cyanidin, a type of anthocyanidin, and are strong antioxidants.
The Black King Kong Peanut Butter uses fresh peanuts with a resume, and stir-fry them with the skin attached at medium-low heat. The texture is super creamy and the scent is explosive.
The craftsman of the freshly grounded Black King Kong Peanut Butter shares the same philosophy with the King of Beard. We both started our food manufacturing journey for the sake of our families. After a lot of research and development and recipe adjustments, our very first stuffed peanut butter egg rolls have finally emerged.

Seaweed is a precious ingredient in Japan, as it is surrounded by the ocean. Among all types of seaweed, Asakusa Nori comes up on top for its highest nutritional value. It contains 35% of protein. It is high in amino acid which gives the nori a sweetness of taste and has the richest in vitamins.
In addition, good nori contains dietary fiber, potassium iron, calcium, vitamin A, folic acid, etc... It can help boost the digestive system, reduce irritating edema, maintain bone health, and protect eyes and skin damage.
